Visa. Citizens of nearly all countries need not apply for a visa to enter the Philippines for less than twenty two (22) days. Passport holders from Hong Kong-SAR, Macao-SAR, Portuguese Macao and British National Overseas, are allowed without visa for a stay not exceeding seven (7) days. Passport holders from Brazil and Israel, are allowed without visa for a stay not exceeding fifty nine (59) days. Upon arrival you would need to present your valid passport (must be valid for the next 6 months) and proof of an exit or onward ticket. If you want to extend your stay beyond twenty one (21) to fifty nine (59) days or more, you need to go to the nearest Bureau of Immigration office. Customs. You should fill in the Baggage Declaration
Form before disembarking to facilitate Customs examination. This
form will be provided to you before the plane touches down. Visitors
carrying cash more than 3,000 U.S. Dollars are to declare the amount
at the Bangko Sentral (Central Bank) counter situated at the Customs
area. Foreign currency taken out upon departure must not exceed the
amount brought in. Departing passengers are not allowed to bring
out more than 1,000 Pesos in local currency. Firearms, illegal drugs
and pornographic materials are prohibited. You should also limit
the number of liquor, cigarettes and other items you carry in to
avoid paying duties.
Embassy. There are no foreign embassies located within Cagayan de Oro City.
